‘Worlds Apart’ Post-Production

Hello world! Welcome to the ‘Worlds Apart’ website and to our news section. It’s been a long arduous journey this one of no-budget independent filmmaking (we love it, really), and after almost two years I can proudly tell you we are entering the post-production stage.

Making Of

Alice Da Cunha, Tom Watkins and Ciaran O’Brien on the day of the shoot.

‘Worlds Apart’ was an adaptation of a radio play I, the writer-director, wrote for the MA in Scriptwriting for Theatre, Radio, Television and Film at Bath Spa University.

It was within the university setting that I could involve the young talents of Ciaran O’Brien (cinematography), Aaron Williams (camera), Tom Watkins (actor) and Amy Tuckwell (co-producer).

To complete the cast and crew, I was so lucky as to be able to also involve experienced artists such as Alice Da Cunha (actress), Kostas Georgakakis (editor), Jan Meinema (sound designer), Mark Brindle (colourist) and a very established and world-renowned musician Pedro Ayres Magalhães.

I’m very touched everyone donated their time, talent and expertise to the project and extremely happy to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I have to thank them yet again for all their hard work. As well as all the people who helped make this possible.

As soon as we approve the final grading and sound design, we will be making a teaser and will start sending ‘Worlds Apart’ to festivals all around the globe. I’m ready to tackle the world of indie distribution, and very excited about it!
